Months away from the presidential elections in Argentina, the definition of lists and even candidates is surrounded by uncertainty and it is in this context that multiple scenarios occur. Although the vice president Cristina Kirchner announced that this year he will not run for an executive position, in some he found that he is already positioning himself against a possible opponent: the president of the PROPatricia Bullrich.
According to a survey by the consultancy circuitsheld in the province of Buenos Aires between February 1 and 3, the greatest intention of votes would be concentrated between both leaders. The survey, of 1,148 cases with the telephone survey and IVR methodology, also shows a large percentage of undecided, which increased to more than 16% in some cases.
Based on the possible presidential candidates –not including Cristina Kirchner– 20.8% said they would vote for Patricia Bullrich; 14.6% to Horacio Rodríguez Larreta; 13.8% to Mauricio Macri; 10.4% to Alberto Fernández; 9.9% to Sergio Massa; 7.3% to Javier Milei; 3.7% to Guillermo Moreno; and 3.3% to Myriam Bregman. 16.2% would not vote for any.

However, the scenario changes when the question includes Fernández de Kirchner among the possible candidates: there, 20.3% said they would vote for the vice president and 19.5% for Patricia Bullrich; leaving ambassadors in very similar percentages.
Then the president follows with 13.2% Mauricio Macri – who has not yet defined if he will play this year, nor to whom it will give its support in case of not doing so – 11.3% to the head of the Buenos Aires Government Horacio Rodríguez Larreta; 10.5% to deputy Javier Milei; 4.8% to the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa; 3.2% to Guillermo Moreno; and 3.1% to the leader of the Left Front, Myriam Bregman. 14.1% would not vote for any of them.

Among those who voted for the Frente de Todos in 2019, 46.2% believe that the vice president is in a better position to lead the presidential formula; 15.4% opt for Sergio Massa; and 13.1% do not know.
Meanwhile, if the question excludes Cristina Kirchner, 23.1% think that Massa is the one who is in the best condition to lead the presidential formula for space. Governor Axel Kicillof follows him in preferences with 15.4%; and then President Alberto Fernández, with 12.3%.
In the case of opposition voters and by a large percentage –as in the case of the head of the Senate– 43.7% consider that it is the former Minister of Security who is most prepared to lead the presidential formula for space; 23.3% consider that it is Mauricio Macri; and 16.7% Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
