Benzema avoided talking about France and focused on the final against Barcelona

Real Madrid and Barcelona will be measured this Sunday, January 15, in the great definition of the Spain Supercup. In the run-up to the match, Karim Benzema approached the press to analyze the match and assured that “Madrid always wants to win”.

“It will be a difficult match, but we must be ready to win,” clarified about the development of the match between two of the most representative football teams in Spain.

The Frenchman spoke about his return to activity after suffering an injury that prevented him from participating in the World Cup in Qatar. “I’m back from my injury and it’s clear that I’ve done a good job to get back to my level. I’ve touched the ball, scored, assisted. It’s clear that I’m back. I’m very happy. I hope I help my teammates”, pointed out.

Regarding what happened with France in the World Cup, Benzema downplayed the importance and clarified that tomorrow’s game is more important. He further added: “I’m ready, I’m fine in my head. I focus on that game. The rest is past. It’s complicated, but that’s it. I focus on my role. It’s not the topic of this game, I can’t talk about France or the World Cup. I don’t want to answer for anything other than the game”.

Finally, he was consulted for his continuity in the merengue squad: “I’m here, at Madrid, I enjoy every training session, and as I always say, I enjoy it every year. I don’t know how long I’ll be here, but I enjoy every day at Madrid. I’m at Madrid, talking about it is another matter. I enjoy like any player. And we want to win the trophy”.
