Paris SG briefly concealed the threat of crisis with a soothing 2-0 win in Nice, with goals scored by Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos.
The Argentine captain’s goal was the just reward for PSG’s greater dominance and chances in the first half, but the second period was fully controlled by Nice, who had several chances to achieve the tie and ended up paying for the lack of aim when Ramos sentenced with a header from a corner kick launched by Messi.
Despite the victory, at PSG the poor performance of Kylian Mbappé will be highlighted, crowned in discount with a shot into the clouds with the bow at his disposal.
The victory in Nice, however, defuses for now a crisis that always threatens the ambitious Parisian club, since a third consecutive defeat could have triggered a crisis of unthinkable proportions in the entity.
