Ramón Maldonado, a Córdoba taxi driver, was contacted to make a trip in the city of james crackhowever, that would be his last destination, since three minors beat him, suffocated him and disposed of his body. The attackers are 13, 14 and 17 and two of them are free.
The teens dumped Maldonado’s body in a rural area and took his Renault Kangoo truck. In the stolen vehicle they went shopping and continued on their way until they collided in Santiago del Estero where they were captured.
The three attackers were arrested in a treatment center for minors, by order of a prosecutor, but later the two youngest were released. “I want them to be in jail until the day he dies,” asked Paola, Ramón’s daughter, in dialogue with TENNESSEE.
Paola recounted that her father was killed in October and that in December the minors were released and that she found out recently because no one notified them. “Our rights as victims were trampled. Nothing ever came to us in writing, nothing official,” he denounced.
“We know that the youngest, 13, is living in the town of Laguna Larga. And the one in the middle, 14, lives in Villa María”, explained Paola.

The 17-year-old is the only one who is still under arrest and is charged with the crime of criminis causae homicide, which involves murdering to commit another crime. The trial against him still does not have a start date.

The city of James Craik has a little more than 5,000 inhabitants and chance was shared among the few taxi drivers who came to the place. The young people chose a telephone number and the tragedy pointed to Ramón Maldonado.
“Some fellow taxi drivers received a call that same Sunday,” Paola said, understanding that it could have been someone else. “They went out to kill and it didn’t matter who”, he concluded.
